What is the power of hope?
At an early age Sabrina Crowder began to seek the answer to this essential question.
When Sabrina was seven years old, her older sister - a young adult at the time - died as a result of domestic violence. While this trauma caused Sabrina to grow up fast, it also instilled in her a desire to protect those around her and to influence her world in a positive way. This Washington, DC native is a peacemaker at heart. As an active mom to three delightful children, Sabrina works hard to encourage and empower as many people as she can.
In her early twenties, shortly after having her first child, Sabrina got a job in corporate event planning. Excited about a career opportunity where she could help people like she wanted, she dove all the way in. Today, Sabrina is the “guru of gatherings” and a Certified Bridal Consultant and Event Planner. Her know-how has afforded her the chance to coordinate events that involved greats like Patti LaBelle, Colin Powell & Bill Clinton as well as large corporations like Budweiser and AstraZeneca. In 2018, Crowder spoke at an FBI Domestic Violence Awareness event. She recalls the event as one of her career highlights, “There were lots of tears but so much awareness and, most importantly, hope.” Sabrina received FBI recognition for her involvement in this event.
Today, Sabrina runs Healthy & Wealthy MommiesTM; an online community for real women that encourages holistic wellness. She uses this platform to share insight on everything from
physical wellness topics like exercise and healthy eating, to money related subjects like real
estate. She continues to work to create spaces for real conversations about how to deal with abuse; emotional & physical. Sabrina shares her story as a motivational speaker and has written one children's book, You Are Enough, which encourages self-esteem in girls. The companion book for boys will be available in June of 2019.
Sabrina spends her time enjoying her children, who range in age from 5 to 17 years old. She also sings with the Washington Performing Arts Society and travels when she is not writing, speaking or planning her next impressive event. Her passion for helping people has led her to realize the answer to that initial question. The power for hope is immeasurable, for those who are truly committed to spreading it.
